Riley Norman GM Milford Proving Grounds

Last week we had a shutdown here in Milford.  Majority of GM employees have the week off allowing the PDPM team here to get as much work done as possible.  Because the parking lots and test tracks are basically empty a lot of asphalt and concrete is replaced.  This is one of the few times a year we will have uninterrupted access.

 We hire subcontractors to come in and mill the existing asphalt with a huge milling machine.

after the existing asphalt is removed and the lot is cleaned of debris.

  A team comes in with fresh asphalt and press it into place.

They will do this with multiple layers so they can get the most effective asphalt surface.
